How do I create an account?
Memories Of A Loved One accounts are free of charge. There are a few ways to create an account or sign in to Memories Of A Loved One:

Sign a page
If you aren't logged in to Memories Of A Loved One, we create an account for you when you sign a page. This account works on the Memories Of A Loved One site and all memorials.

Create an account at Memories Of A Loved One
If you want to create an account before signing any pages, you can do that just by clicking "Sign Up" at the upper right corner of the page.
How do I change my name or photo?
Click your name in the upper right corner
From the menu, choose "Edit Profile." This will let allow you to change your name and photo across all memorials. You can also update your relationship for the specific memorial you are visiting.
Friends & Family
Can I change my relationship
Yes!
You can specify your relationship to the person being memorialized when signing the page, but you can also change it anytime. To update your relationship with the person being memorialized, first, be sure you are on their memorial page. Next, slide to Family & Friends section of the page. There, choose "Edit Your Relationship" and you can update the relationship.
Adding & Viewing Memories
What kind of memories can I add?
Stories
Share a favorite anecdote or memory. It can be as short or long as you like, and you can edit it later. You can also add one or more images to help tell your story.

Photos
Upload photos from your computer or mobile device, either one at a time or multiple at once. Add captions when you upload them or wait till later. Pictures of people and places, or even scanned documents make great memories. If you have multiple photos on the same topic, you may want to combine them into a Story to keep them together.
Who can see my memories?
Memorials can be shared by anyone using a simple link. Anyone visiting the page can see the memorial.
Can I make my memories private?
No!

Why can't I add memories or comments?
There are a few possible reasons you may be unable to add memories or comments:

Memories Of A Loved One website may need to be refreshed
There may simply be an error in loading the screen. Try reloading the screen or visiting the memorial using a different internet browser.

You may have been logged out
You need to be logged in to a memorial in order to add memories or comments. If you're not logged in, try signing the page or logging into the site.

The memorial might be set to "Closed"
The owner or editors of a memorial can set the page to "Closed." This means that only the owner and editors are able to add memories and comments. If this is the case, there should be an indication at the bottom of the screen.

You may have been blocked
If needed, the owner and editors of a memorial can block a guest so that they are unable to post memories and comments. If you have been blocked you will see a message indicating this on the main screen. You can contact the owner of the memorial to try and resolve this issue.
Reporting Content
How do I report a concern with a memorial?
Click "Report" near the footer of the main screen
If you have a concern with a memorial page on Memories Of A Loved One, just click "Report" near the bottom of the main screen. This will give you an email address to contact us with your concern.

Alternatives to reporting
Do you know the owner or editors of the memorial? Try messaging them directly to resolve the issue. If you are an editor, you can also block individual memories if needed.
How do I report a memory?
Reporting a concern with a memory
If you notice a memory with inappropriate content, you can report it to the owner and editors of the memorial. Just click the "Report" option on the memory (across from the "Like" button). You'll get a screen asking for details. We'll send this on to the editor(s) of the memorial and they will decide the appropriate action. When you report a memory it is immediately hidden until reviewed, so use this feature wisely.

Note: If you are an editor, you will have a Block option instead of a Report option.

Do you know the person who wrote the memory? Try messaging them directly to resolve the issue.
How do I report a comment?
Reporting a concern with a comment
If you notice a comment with inappropriate content, you can report it to the owner and editors of the memorial. Just click on the three dots under the date of the comment and then select the "Report" option (below "Reply"). You'll get a screen asking for details. We'll send this on to the editor(s) of the memorial and they will decide the appropriate action. When you report a comment it is immediately hidden until reviewed, so use this feature wisely.

Note: If you are an editor, you will have a Block option instead of a Report option.
